Becoming a nursing assistant can help you kickstart a career in the medical industry that can be both emotionally fulfilling and financially rewarding. Nursing assistants can expect job security throughout their career due to the increasing demand for nursing professionals — not to mention that as a nursing assistant you’ll have a foundation of skills and experience from which you can pursue other career opportunities within the nursing field. However, once you’ve decided that you’re interested in becoming a nursing assistant, you’ll no doubt want to know how you can actually become one. Fortunately, we offer CNA (certified nursing assistant) classes in SoCal here at Clement Career College. The following are a few common questions to help you determine whether our CNA program is right for you:

Our CNA program offers a number of courses to help prepare students for a career as a nursing assistant. These courses are held in Gardena, CA, and include the following:
We offer a lot of flexibility when it comes to completing our CNA program. If you enroll as a full-time student, it will only take you eight weeks to complete our program. You can also complete our program as a part-time student, in which case you will take evening classes for 11 weeks.
One of the reasons why becoming a nursing assistant is so appealing to many students is because enrolling in a CNA program is so affordable. Here at the Clement Career College, we only charge $900 in tuition fees to complete the full CNA program. This tuition fee will not only cover classroom training, but it will also cover clinical practicum, lab work, supplies, lab training, and books. Additional costs that you will be responsible for will include things like notebooks, writing utensils, uniforms, and testing and licensure fees.
Some CNA programs require a certain GPA (grade point average) in order to enroll. This is not the case for our program. However, you will need to have a high school diploma or a GED in order to be accepted. Additionally, we require all students to take a physical exam, perform live scan fingerprinting, a TB test, a current CPR certificate by the American Heart Association, and a passing score on the Wonderlic SLE test.
